TRUTH: I've Had 3 Panic Attacks Since The Pandemic.

To give you a sense of how uncommon that is for me- I’ve only had 2 in my lifetime, one of which was when my mom passed away.


I initially thought something was wrong with me but then I realized:

🙅🏾‍♀️ It’s not because I’m weak.

🙅🏾‍♀️ It’s not because I’m broken.

🙅🏾‍♀️ It’s not because I don’t have control.


It was a response to my environment and the current state of the world:

😰 My body was reacting to the lack of physical touch with from family and friends.

😰 My heart was and still is in pain due to the injustices against BIPOC, especially the Black community.

😰 My soul yearns for peace internally and externally.


After coming to terms with this it became clear to me:

✨ I am not my panic attacks.

✨ They are a sign that my body, heart, and soul was unhappy.

✨ These emotions need to be felt, heard, and let out.


So this time, I treated them as a gift.

🎁 I gave myself the space to feel them.

🎁 I allowed the tears to flow.

🎁 I provided the time and space for my body to rest.


Once I gave myself time to feel them, then I was able to start my healing process

💛 I healed by connecting with Mother Earth, loved ones, and trusted healers.

💛 I healed by reflecting and understanding a deeper level of me.

💛 I healed by creating new rituals that feed my soul’s core.


I share this so that you know that you’re not alone.
